              So you're building a house, or buying a new one? 
                       Here is what we will need from you...

1. First thing we need to know is the exact location of your driveway. This is obtained by measurements.  You will need to measure from the center of the driveway that you need the new address for to the center of the closest driveway or corner of an intersecting road, in both directions.  Simply put, from the center of your driveway measure to the left and to the right.  You must measure to driveways or intersecting road that is on the same side of the road as your property, regardless if there is a closer driveway or road on the opposite side. These measurements must be physically done on site.  We do not accept approximate measurements or measurements done from an online internet source.

   2.  We will need to know your Tax Map ID #.  This number should appear with a series of numbers, dots and dashes on your Deed  that looks like this..  (ie 123456-12.-34.56 ). 
 
When you have this information ready, you can call the Columbia County 911 Office at 518-828-1263 and request a new 911 Address assignment for your property.
 
** Be advised, if you are calling on behalf of the property owner, you will need to provide the Owners Name, Phone and Email Address as we will only release the assigned address to the property owner
